LAND USE BY-LAW AMENDMENT

SOLAR ENERGY


The County of Forty Mile No. 8 cordially invites public participation in a forthcoming Public Hearing, as mandated under the Municipal Government Act (Chapter M-26, RSA 2000). This meeting will consider a key amendment to our Land Use Bylaw.

About the Amendment:

The County of Forty Mile is committed to enhancing our Bylaw to improve its clarity and utility for both landowners and developers. The proposed amendment focuses on the Solar Energy Facility District and other solar energy uses, including significant text changes and additional definitions and uses across various sections of the bylaw. The bylaw received first reading on January 31, 2024. A brief description of the changes are as follows:
